Privacy & Booking Terms

This page explains how Hotel Hacienda Mérida ("we", "us") handles your personal information, and the terms that apply when you book a stay with us. Please read it alongside the details shown during booking.
1. Who we are
Hotel Hacienda Mérida and Hotel Hacienda VIP, Calle 62 #439 and #441-A, Col. Centro, Mérida, Yucatán 97000, Mexico. Questions about your data: info@hotelhaciendamerida.com.
2. Information we collect
- Booking details: your name, email, phone, chosen rooms, dates and number of guests.
- Contact messages: what you send us through the contact form.
- We do not collect or store your payment card details — see section 4.
3. How we use it
To process and confirm your reservation, to contact you about your stay, to provide the deposit receipt, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Payments
Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own secure pages. Your card number never passes through or is stored on our website. Stripe is a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment provider. We receive only a confirmation of payment and the last four digits of the card.
5. Cookies
Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie we set is a temporary session cookie used to keep our private staff area signed in; it is not used to track visitors.
6. Sharing your information
We share information only as needed to run your booking: with Stripe to process payment, and where required by law. If you booked through a third party (Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia, etc.), that company's own privacy policy also applies to that booking.
7. Data retention
We keep booking records for as long as needed to provide the service and to satisfy tax and legal requirements, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Write to info@hotelhaciendamerida.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Security
The whole site runs over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and payments are secured by Stripe. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
10. Booking, deposit & cancellation
- Deposit: a refundable deposit of one night per room, plus 20.5% tax (16% IVA + 4.5% local stay tax), is charged at booking, in US dollars.
- Balance: the remaining balance of your stay is paid directly at the hotel.
- Cancellation: cancellations must be made at least 7 days before arrival for a full refund of the deposit. Later cancellations are charged one night's stay.
- Rates and availability are confirmed at the time of booking.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the current version.
